DINOTEC’s MULHACEN PD modules are made of polypropylene through thermowelding of plates and has a vertical, cylindrical shape. Polypropylene is a recyclable, non-toxic material that has a high chemical and structural resistance.
They are based on the biological process of extended aeration, which has the highest performance (more than 95 % in BOD5 and solids in suspension) and the lowest production of sludges. MULHACEN PD reactors include all the necessary operations for a secondary biological treatment.
They replace aeration tanks and traditional settlers and reach high performance with low energy, space and volume requirements.
The supply of O2 required by the sludges is reached through a deep air injection, ejector or blower pump, and diffusers that spread the air in small bubbles.
MULHACEN PD compact modules are especially designed for treating urban wastewater coming from small populations (from 2 to 25 inhabitants).
